  • Nov. 9, 2010: SFVS is proud to welcome Dr. Carrie Goldkamp, Dipl. ACVIM to our group of board-certified specialists. Dr. Goldkamp obtained her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris in 2003 from the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 2004 at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. Dr. Goldkamp completed her residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2008 at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida. Dr. Goldkamp most recently served as an internal medicine clinician at VCA Animal Emergency and Referral of Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

  • Oct. '08: Dr. Tasha Axam, DVM, DACVR joins SFVS, offers diagnostic imaging services. Please welcome the newest member of our staff, Dr. Tasha Axam, DVM, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Dr. Axam is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University. She is a graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed her internship at the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine.   • Dec. '08: SFVS's most recent program in our "Continuing Education series for Veterinarians". "Thanks" to the 40+ veterinarians who attended.
  • Aug. '08: SFVS was honored to welcome over 50 veterinarians to the August debut of our Continuing Education Series for Veterinarians.
  • May '08: SFVS now offers on-site after hours care. Clients will enjoy the peace of mind and convenience of overnight, on-site non-emergent post-surgical recovery and observation nursing care for referral patients.

  • March 2007: Morgan Contracting, Inc. Morgan Commercial Contracting of Lilburn, Georgia, acts as General Contractor for facility remodeling. The company has been an active commercial contractor in the Atlanta area since 1989.
  • April 2007: Sound Technology, Inc. SFVS acquires Sound Technologies "Tru-DR Dicom" Digital Radiography Imaging System.
  • May 2007: Dr. Clarence Rawlings DVM PhD DAVCS Consults on Hospital Design. Dr. Rawlings is a nationally recognized veterinary surgeon and researcher, and a 30-year veteran Professor in the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • June 2007: SFVS's Dr. Laura J. Smallwood, DVM, DACVIM named among the "Best Veterinary Specialists" in the June 2007 "Pet Guide" issue of Atlanta Magazine.
  • July 2007: IT design and installation. Initial design consultation and installation of SFVS's IT network.
